    Richard J. Berthy
    DIRECTOR

    Richard Berthy is a member of Akumina’s Board of Directors and provides hands-on strategic advice to the founders and to senior leadership on all aspects of Akumina’s business including and not limited to top-line growth and career advancement as well as financial and partnership strategies. Mr. Berthy has over 25 years of experience in the financial services and mutual fund industries, including management and ownership positions with registered investment advisers. Mr. Berthy has been the CEO of Foreside (www.foreside.com) since its inception in 2005. During Mr. Berthy’s tenure at Foreside, the firm has amassed over 350 customers across 35 service offerings and currently has over 1 Trillion Dollars in assets under distribution. Mr. Berthy holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79 and 99 registrations.

    Sanket Akerkar
    DIRECTOR

    Sanket Akerkar is a member of the Akumina Board of Directors. In his role on the board, Akerkar provides strategic sales and go to market guidance as well as aides in the development of a worldwide partner channel for Akumina. Currently, Mr. Akerkar is the SVP of Worldwide Fleet and Insurance Business at Nauto. Nauto combines leading edge vehicle hardware with an ever-learning artificial intelligence platform, Nauto can make any car, a smart car. Mr. Akerkar joined the Board in September of 2015 while serving as the Global Vice President of Worldwide Enterprise Sales at Microsoft. During his 15 year tenure at Microsoft, Akerkar held several senior sales and marketing positions around the globe including oversight of a $30B sales team and as Managing Director for all of Microsoft India. In these positions his responsibilities included growing the direct sales and marketing operations, driving strategic partnerships and alliances with global platform partners, channel partners, OEMs, and the system builder community. Akumina benefits from the best practices advice Akerkar is able to offer based on this extensive experience.

    Paul Houghton
    DIRECTOR

    Paul Houghton provides strategic guidance in helping Akumina build strong relationships across the Microsoft ecosystem. Houghton’s experience includes 23 years at Microsoft in numerous executive-level roles, leading teams focused on building strong customer and partner relationships. These positions included General Manager for the Greater China Region, Enterprise & Partner Group. In this leadership role he was responsible for the overall strategy and business operations of the large enterprise, customer segment. Houghton was most recently President America's Region for SITA, a multinational information technology company providing IT and telecommunication services to the air transport industry. SITA services over 430 members and 2,800 customers worldwide which is around 90% of the world's airline business.

    Ed Rogers
    Director, CEO AKUMINA, INC.

    Ed leads Akumina with a hands-on approach formed from 13 years in both Technical and Executive management roles at Ektron. He has built on his experiences as a software engineer and architect to form a deep understanding of how business needs intersect with technology to create innovative solutions. Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer at Ektron Ed was Chief Software Architect at TeleHomeCare at Global Telemedix, and held Senior Software Engineering roles at Zydacron and Bruker Instruments.

    David Maffei
    Director, President and Chief Revenue Officer

    David Maffei is a successful technology veteran with deep ties to Web Content Management, Business Continuity, Enterprise ECommerce and Award-Winning Professional Services teams. At Akumina, and previously at Carbonite (NASDAQ: CARB), Bridgeline (NASDAQ: BLIN) & Ektron (now EpiServer), Maffei is directly responsible for the company’s global revenue as well as the plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals.

    With a decade of success and deep market, technology and industry knowledge, Maffei is able to position trends ahead of the curve to promote thought leadership and differentiation within digital market segments that are highly saturated.

    His charter is to manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth, define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives while exceeding customer expectations and contributing to a high level of customer satisfaction.

    Florin Rotar
    BOARD ADVISOR

    Florin Rotar provides advice to Akumina’s Board of Directors in alignment with Akumina & Avanade’s strategic partnership including Avanade’s minority investment in the business. Mr. Rotar leads Avanade’s global Digital Market Unit and is driven by the power of technology to help people do and achieve more and to empower businesses to compete smarter. Curious by nature and a technologist by trade ever since he wrote his first program on a Commodore 64 as a child, Mr. Rotar previously held the post of Chief Technology Innovation Officer. He has had key roles in establishing and growing Avanade’s business in the UK and the Nordic region, both as a consultant and as a leader. Mr. Rotar’s early career was with Accenture, Procter & Gamble and as a start-up entrepreneur. Florin is a world citizen, having spent most of his adult life working in five European capitals.

    Ali Riaz
    BOARD ADVISOR

    Ali Riaz provides advice to Akumina in the areas of fundraising, sales and marketing, channel development and product strategy. Riaz has extensive experience propelling early-stage companies into large, corporate leaders. At Attivio, as the founder and CEO, Riaz was responsible for defining and executing vision and strategy for the company whose core product, Active Intelligence Engine™ (AIE), is the leading unified information access platform. Prior to Attivio, Riaz was COO and president of global enterprise search company Fast Search & Transfer (FAST). In 2008, Microsoft Corporation acquired FAST for $1.2 billion. Riaz has held executive positions at Novartis (Switzerland) and CSC (England).

    Udaiappa Ramachandran
    Chief Technology Officer

    Udaiappa Ramachandran (Udai) has over 16 years of experience building products and expertise in content management and learning management. At Akumina, Udai develops the technology and product roadmaps to turn Akumina into a market leader in digital content management using Microsoft Online products. He specializes in product development, cloud computing, Office 365, SharePoint, search, analytics, online training and security. He served as a Chief Software Architect at Ektron, driving Ektron’s product research, architecture and technology vision. While he was at Ektron he built CMS400.NET, Workflow, eSync, Cloud and SaaS based campaign management system. He is a Microsoft Azure insider and an organizer of the New Hampshire Cloud .NET user group. Udai holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications and Bachelor degree in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University, India.
